FAQ:  Storage Sheds & Kits       FAQ:  Gazebos & Kits

  • Are your buildings built on-site?

Yes, we build on-site. The only access we need is a small gate to carry materials through. We will require an electrical outlet to plug our extension cords in.
  • Do I need a concrete slab?

No. Our storage buildings come with floors and generally will be placed on 2" thick cement blocks which we provide. We ask that the ground be level; however we can provide some minor leveling. Extensive leveling may require additional cost. If a customer wants a concrete slab, the shed can be built with or without a wood floor.
  • How long will your crew take to construct the shed?

Generally 4 to 6 hours are needed to complete the installation. Some of the larger buildings may take longer.
  • Do the buildings come painted?

The exterior siding will be pre-primed. Generally our customers will choose to paint the sheds' exterior; however, we can provide this service for an additional fee.
  • Do I need a building permit?

Our smaller sheds will not need a building permit. Many sheds constructed in rural areas will not need a permit. Most building departments will require buildings over certain square footage to have a permit taken out through your local government. Customers are encouraged to check with your local building department. It is also recommended to check for any neighborhood covenants in your area that may restrict certain buildings in your neighborhood. It will be the customer’s responsibility for obtaining any permits that may be required.
  • What is the Warranty on your products?

Our sheds are warranted on workmanship for 10 years. Contact us for details.

  • If I purchase a do-it-yourself kit, is everything included?

Our shed kits come with most everything needed, including the floor, hardware and nails. Items not included are shingles and exterior paint. Generally most of our kits will come with pre-assembled floor and walls. However, our larger buildings will come in pre-cut individual pieces due to their size and weight. All shed kits will come with pre-built roof trusses and pre-built door/doors. No on-site cutting will be necessary on standard sheds and full installation instructions will be provided. Customers will also have access to free technical support.
  • Do you provide delivery for the do-it-yourself shed kits?

Yes, delivery in San Diego County will be Free. Outlying areas may be charged a nominal fee (call for information). Kits will generally be delivered to the front of the home.

  • If I purchase a do-it-yourself gazebo kit, is everything included?

Everything in the "Specifications" list on the gazebo page (except cupola) comes with the kit, including the hardware and nails. However, you do have the choice of ordering it with or without the floor.
  • Are any special tools needed to assemble a gazebo kit?

You will need: Tape measure, level, drill screw gun with square #2 bit, hammer, metal snips, utility knife, and an 8ft. to 10ft. ladder.
  • Do I need a building permit?

Usually not. Check with your city or county office.
  • What is the warranty on your gazebos?

Gazebos come with a 5 year warranty.
  • Do you provide delivery for the do-it-yourself gazebo kits?

Gazebo Kits Include Free Delivery in San Diego County. Delivery Fees may apply in areas outside San Diego County (call for information). Kits will generally be delivered to the front of the home.
